The Mokokchung District T20 Cricket Federation recently organized a three-day Free Ayurvedic Medical Camp at P. Shilu Park in Mokokchung, in collaboration with Therapist Jay Ayurveda Centre from Sovima Village, Chümoukedima, Nagaland. The camp, held from November 22 to 24 witnessed an impressive turnout of over 500 citizens seeking natural Ayurvedic therapy.
Therapist Jay, a 40-year-old expert with 22 years of experience, expressed gratitude for the warm reception in Mokokchung. He noted the community’s kindness but raised concerns about the prevalent consumption of alcohol and tobacco, emphasizing their contribution to nerve damage and related health issues. Many patients treated during the camp displayed signs of damaged ear nerves and fatty liver conditions.
Jay, a recent Christian convert, shared his passion for providing free treatment to children with sensitive health issues. He expressed optimism about future collaborations with churches and emphasized the importance of early treatment for childhood illnesses.
Hailing from a diverse background with a Japanese mother, Jay recounted his transformative experience after taking baptism three years ago in Nagaland. He claimed to witness numerous healing miracles through the name of Jesus during his medical camps across 32 villages in Nagaland.
With a team of 21 staff members, all from Nagaland and with various expertiseJay offers free medical camps, internships, and treats children below 10 years of age without charges. Fluent in 13 languages, he advocates for the use of homemade remedies and has a significant online presence, including a YouTube channel under the name Therapist Jay.

The success of the medical camp was expressed by the President of the Mokokchung District T20 Cricket Federation, Imnayanger, who expressed satisfaction with the positive response from the public. While the camp successfully catered to the health needs of many elderly citizens, concerns were raised about the need for increased community participation in such opportunities.
Reviews from treated individuals, including international visitors, praised the refreshing experience of homemade remedies and herbal medicines. The camp addressed a range of health issues, including sinus and eye ailments, with patients expressing relief and eagerness for further Ayurvedic treatment.
