In an endeavour to address the challenges faced by the youth in Mokokchung and neighboring regions, Emporium Training & Consultancy Pvt Ltd (ETCPL) and the Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) have signed a pioneering Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a period of five years. The MoU aims to provide skill development and job placement opportunities to both educated and drop-out youths.

ETCPL, a vocational training institution registered under the National Skill Development Corporation, will work closely with AKM to equip the Naga youths with essential skills and offer job placements worldwide. Recognizing the lack of suitable opportunities and underpaid jobs that fail to complement their skills, this joint initiative seeks to empower the youth and pave the way for their brighter future.

Lanutoshi Aier, the president of Ao Kaketshir Mungdang, pointed out that many educated youths and dropouts in Mokokchung and neighbouring places are left with no jobs or have limited avenues for employment. He mentioned that while some youths lack necessary skills, others possess skills that do not match the available job opportunities, resulting in underpayment. In an effort to address this problem and provide opportunities to these sections of youths, Ao Kaketshir Mungdang signed an MoU with Emporium TCPL. Aier also informed that AKM has scheduled a career guidance program tentatively to be held in the month of September for the youths of Mokokchung.

Temjenkala Aier, CEO of ETCPL, expressed her honour to collaborate with AKM and lauded the organization for preserving traditions and culture while embracing progress. She stressed that unemployment presents both a challenge and an opportunity, and ETCPL is dedicated to nurturing youth skills and providing job placements to set their talents soaring.

Anirban Mukherjee, Operations Manager of ETCPL India & International, acknowledged AKM’s decision to sign the MoU, highlighting the issue of idle youth due to limited opportunities, including the hesitation to explore overseas options. Mukherjee encouraged Indian youths to be bold and venture abroad for remunerative jobs that befit their skills, emphasizing the importance of possessing an Indian passport.

Emporium has provided job placements to 200 Naga youths across the globe. With this promising alliance between ETCPL and AKM, the future for Naga youth seems brighter and full of potential, offering them a chance to explore and excel on the international stage.
