The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has revised the price of meat in its jurisdiction in view of the “increase in price in the base market and as recommended by the sub-committee.”
The new rates of Pork and Beef/Buffalo meat will be effective with immediate effect, Chumlamo Humstoe, ADC Mokokchung and Administrator, MMC informed on Saturday.
In this regard, MMC has directed all the dealers/retailers to strictly adhere to the above rates.
Any defaulters found selling above the prescribed rates within the jurisdiction of MMC shall be punished under the relevant provisions of law, it added.
