The Mokokchung Police arrested one person from Watiyongpang Check Gate at the Nagaland-Assam border and recovered 320 (Three Hundred Twenty) bottles of Apcores (Cough Syrup) from his possession.

The Additional Superintendent of Police and PRO, Mokokchung Police informed that the police intercepted one pick-up truck bearing Assam registration at the check gate on 29th August 2024 while conducting routine checking. Subsequently, 320 bottles of Apcores (Cough Syrup) were recovered. The accused is identified as MD. Fardous Alom Mazumder (31 Yrs) S/o Tayab Ali Mazumder, Vill Karaikandi, Cachar, Assam and Present Address Changtongya Town PO/PS Changtongya, Mokokchung.

Accordingly, the accused was arrested and a criminal case under NDPS Act has been registered at the Tuli Police Station. The Addl SP further informed that the case is under investigation.
