The Mokokchung Police today arrested one person with banned IMFL on a truck along the Mokokchung-Mariani road.

According to inputs by the Additional SP, Mokokchung, the QRT of Mokokchung Police intercepted a truck bearing WB 25C- 6150 on Mokokchung-Mariani road today based on intel input.

On checking, the team recovered 285 cases of MC Rum(3420 bottles) and 225 cases of Kingfisher beer( 5400 bottles) from the truck.

The driver of the truck transporting the banned IMFL namely Bagai Chaora S/O Lt. Suren Chaora V/O Singimari Goan, PS Borpathar, Assam was arrested and brought to Mokokchung PS-II along with the seized IMFL items. Accordingly, a case was registered against the accused vide Mokokchung PS-II Case No 0010/ 2024 US 44(a) (e) NLTP Act for further investigation.
