A contingent of footballers from Mokokchung District, comprising 20 players alongside a team manager, coach, and physiotherapist, departed for Tuensang Town on September 16 to represent Mokokchung district in the prestigious 23rd Inter-District Football Championship, Dr. T. Ao Trophy, 2024.
According to a press release by the Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA), the team was sent off from Imkongmeren Sports Complex, led by the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji and the District Sports Officer, Anguvito Sumi along with officials of MDFA. The send-off event was held at 8:30 am, Monday.
The MDFA extended Its heartfelt thanks to all sponsors, supporters, and officials who have contributed to the team’s journey to the Dr. T. Ao Trophy. The association remains optimistic about the team’s prospects and looks forward to an exciting display of football prowess at the championship, mentioned the MDFA.
