Mon district DPDB meeting held

Mon: Meeting deliberates outbreak of disease in Pessao village, Bangladesh immigrants, road condition in Mon – Tizit town area and opening of new private school in Yannu village, Tizit amongst others

The monthly meeting of the Mon District Planning & Development Board for the month of August was held on August 12, 2024 at DC’s Conference Hall, Mon. Ajit Kumar Verma (IAS), Deputy Commissioner Mon, who presided over the meeting welcomed the members present and called upon the newly posted members for self-introduction. The meeting began with the review of the last meeting minutes, informed DIPR.

Chief Medical Officer Mon, highlighted the outbreak of disease in Pessao village, where 6 (Six) children died. She informed that at present the situation is under control, where they also tested about 320, both children and adults. She also expressed her gratitude to the Hans Foundation for their assistance.

Matter relating to Bangladesh Immigrants was also discussed. DC urged the house, concerned villages, blocks and citizens to be more watchful and to report any suspects to the Administration or Police Station. The house also discussed the Har Ghar Tiranga as part of the 78th Independence Day celebration. The house further discussed the deplorable road condition in the town area and Mon – Tizit road which was deteriorating.

The house also recommended for opening of the new private school at Yannu village, Tizit and construction of a sinking road near Shantham ward junction was discussed and approved for construction.

DC shared about the sanitization in the town and requested the head of the Department to organize social work and to maintain their office surroundings. He also informed on the activities assigned to all the departments, for the upcoming Independence celebration.
