Mon district participates in ‘Nasha Mukt Pratigya’ campaign in Assam

In a joint initiative to combat substance abuse, Mon district actively participated in the ‘Nasha Mukt Pratigya’ programme organized by the District Administration of Charaideo, Assam in collaboration with the Department of Social Justice and Environment, Assam held at Namtola Playground on June 13.

ADC Tizit, Mon, Relise Sangtam speaking on behalf of the Mon District Administration emphasized the urgency of creating a drug-free society, noting that both Charaideo and Mon are sensitive regions where drug use is a growing concern.

He said that the main purpose of the day’s gathering was to raise awareness and make a positive impact. He further urged the community not to ignore drug addicts but to support their rehabilitation and reintegration into mainstream society.

On behalf of the Mon District Administration, he extended gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner of Charaideo for hosting the event and promoting inter-district collaboration for a noble cause.

The event brought together officials, community members, and youth from both Charaideo and Mon districts

The day-long program featured a series of engaging activities, including a craft mela, health camp, traditional sports, cultural performances, and a friendly football match between the Charaideo and Mon district teams, fostering community bonding and youth involvement.
