Mon District Planning and Development Board meeting was conducted on 15th May 2024 at DC Conference Hall, Mon. According to DIPR, the meeting began with the welcome address and the review of the last meeting minutes by the Deputy Commissioner Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS.

The house discussed the recognition and upgradation of various schools and institutions including the recognition of National Boundary School, Sheanghah Wamsa Village upto Class VIII and up-gradation of Shahgoth School, Sheanghah Chingnyu Village, St. Paul School, Angjangyang and Puhu Kinjong School to Class VIII, and Naginimora, GHS Tizit Village to GHSS.

Principal of Wangkhao Government College, Dr. T. Chandrasakharan, gave a PowerPoint presentation about the stalled construction related to UGC Women Hostel at Wangkhao Government College Campus, Mon.

District Planning Officer, V. Aron Sema has informed the members about the submission of Department profile and activities to include in the upcoming District Annual Plan (LADF) 2024 before 15th June 2024.
