The Mon District Planning & Development Board meeting for the month of June was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Mon on Friday. it was chaired by Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman, DPDP, Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS.

According to DIPR, the meeting commenced with a welcome note from the chair followed by self-introduction by the new members and reviewed of the last DPDP meeting minutes.

The house discussed on the agendas for recognition of Hill Star School, Sheanghah Tangten Village and registration of Mankup Memorial Foundation. After a brief deliberation the house decided to forward the application to the concerned department for approval.

The board also felicitated the medalists and winners of Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2024 from the district, where the Deputy Commissioner gave away the certificates.

Nyamok Konyak apprised the board that Mon District was in the 10th Position in the Medal Tally with 4 Gold, 7 Silver, 12 Bronze with 23 Medal in all.

Principal, New Model College, Wakching and Agri. & Soil Department gave a Power Point Presentation of the College and Agri & Soil Department respectively.
