As per the Ukha Students Union (USU) resolution, the student body has informed all neighbouring villages that it will be enforcing wildlife conservation and environmental protection in the jurisdiction of Ukha village, Mon.

A circular from USU informed that with special reference to Konyak Students Union resolution number 9 and Mopong Hongkong Students Union resolution number 2, using chemical substance and electro fishing is totally prohibited in Cheli to Nyammük, Nyammük to Phangsa and Moklhü river within Ukha jurisdiction.

It further mentioned that wildlife conservation/preservation will be observed annually from April to September.

In this regard, any individual/group failing to comply with the said resolution will be taken to task with a fine of Rs. 5000.
