MoneyWise Centre for Financial Literacy, Thonoknyu Block conducted awareness camps on ‘Financial Capability’ at Pang village and Thongsonyu village under Thonoknyu Block in Noklak district on 19th and 20th November 2023 respectively.

The camps were organised by State Bank of India under the aegis of Financial Inclusion Fund (FIF), NABARD, in collaboration with CRISIL Foundation. MoneyWise Centre for Financial Literacy is a Reserve Bank of India project with an aim to educate the disadvantaged section of society by strengthening their financial capabilities.

The topics covered during the camps were- Saving & Investment, Financial goal setting, Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Pradhan Mantri Bima Suraksha Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and account opening.

The camps concluded with on spot registration service for insurance. New account opening was also provided for the villagers.

MoneyWise Centre, Thonoknyu block is led by Shingnyoh Khiamniungan as Centre Manager, Tsumang as Field coordinator and Thuming as Data Entry Operator.
