S. Phangnon Konyak, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from Nagaland, has been nominated to the Court of Nagaland University by the Vice President of India and Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Jagdeep Dhankhar, informed a press release issued by the Press Secretary of the MP.
Expressing her gratitude, Konyak stated that she was immensely honoured by the nomination and that she will actively engage with the authorities of the University in reviewing its policies and programmes in accordance with the statutes outlined in the Nagaland University Act, 1989.

Nagaland University has played a vital role in nurturing distinguished alumni who have served and continue to serve the nation in various capacities as bureaucrats, elected representatives, professionals and thought leaders. Recognizing this legacy, Konyak reaffirmed her commitment to work towards elevating the University’s stature through quality education, progressive policymaking and engagement with stakeholders.
She emphasized the need for collective resolve to bring Nagaland University at par with other premier institutions across the country.
