Tokheho Yepthomi, Member of Parliament Lok Sabha, chaired the Mon District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting on Tuesday at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall, Mon, DIPR said.

He briefed the members about the purpose of DISHA and urged them to use the government fund and schemes very wisely. He added that as almost all the officers are Nagas, it was a privilege to be in this position to serve ‘our own people’. Citing the examples of other neighbouring states’ developments, he said the district’s development works are not satisfactory. He called upon them to fulfil their responsibility by performing their duties with utmost sincerity.

According to DIPR, while delivering the welcome address, Deputy Commissioner Mon Ajit Kumar Verma expressed his gratitude to the Member of Parliament Lok Sabha for chairing the meeting despite the busy schedule. He also thanked all the Departments for attending the meeting and also for their Power Points presentations of their DISHA activities.
