The Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima (NHAK) has reported that there have been multiple incidents of theft involving properties belonging to the hospital, in and around its premises.
NHAK managing director Dr. M Margaret Yhome issued a press release on Tuesday, expressing concern that copper wires connecting the grounding system to the CT scan machine were also being stolen repeatedly.
“This incident has occurred twice recently and has significantly delayed the long-anticipated commissioning of the CT scan service. Such acts are not only a serious nuisance but also disrupt essential public health service delivery,” the official stated.
A first information report (FIR) regarding the thefts was filed at the South Police Station Kohima on April 19. Police said investigation is underway.
