Mungya village under Wokha District commemorated its Centennial Jubilee (1923- 2023) on December 17 with the theme “Embracing a Century of God’s Faithfulness” Psalms 119:90, at Munga local ground.
Advisor for Agriculture, Mhathung Yanthan delivered the Jubilee greetings and Rev. L.K Tsanglao, Pastor, Longsa Baptist Church delivered jubilee message at the event.
Extending Jubilee Greetings on the occasion, Advisor for Agriculture, Mhathung Yanthan congratulated Mungya Village on attaining 100 years of its Christianity. He conveyed greetings on behalf of the State Government and Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio. Lauding the village for celebrating the jubilee with unity and inclusiveness, Yanthan also reminded that the centennial jubilee is a true blessing and a testament for everyone.
Yanthan encouraged the gathering to honour and respect the hardship of the first converts who brought Christianity to the village and encouraged everyone to prioritize forgiveness as forgiveness reflects the true nature of Christianity.
Rev. L.K Tsanglao, Pastor, Longsa Baptist Church conveyed the message of God’s everlasting love from the jubilee theme “Embracing a Century of God’s Faithfulness”. He said that God’s love for us unwavering and unchanging, and urged the gathering to trust and have confidence in God’s reliability.

Taking reference from Lamentations 3:22-23, the speaker reminded of God immense love and mercy while emphasizing the greatness that is renewed each day. Further quoting the Bible, Matthew 24:35, he highlighted the eternal nature of God’s Word, emphasizing its constancy amid the transient world.
The event was chaired by Nzanmongo Ngullie, Pastor, AG Church, Mungya. The Morning session of the jubilee concluded with a jubilee feast. Members of Native Village along with the in-laws and neighboring villagers joined the jubilee celebration.
