The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is inviting applications for Sports Awards 2024. Applications from the eligible sportspersons/ coaches/ entities are invited for the respective awards. The applications are being invited only in online mode through a dedicated Portal dbtyas-sports.gov.in for the following Sports Awards:

– Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award for the spectacular and most outstanding performance in the field of sports by a sportsperson;

– Arjuna Award for consistent outstanding performance of sportsperson;

– Arjuna Award (Lifetime) for life time contribution to sports development;

– Dronacharya Award for coaches for producing medal winners at prestigious international sports events;

– Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar (RKPP) for Corporate entity (Public/Private), Non-Governmental organizations (NGOs) who have played a visible role in the promotion and development of sports in the country and

– Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad (MAKA) Trophy for the university for overall top performance in Khelo India University Games.

The Ministry has informed that the applicants eligible in accordance with the award guidelines need to self-apply, online at the Portal dbtyas-sports.gov.in only. In case of any issue faced in online application, the applicant may contact the Department of Sports at the e-mail id sportsawards-moyas[at]gov[dot]in or at Tel. No.011-23387432 from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm on any working day or Toll Free No. 1800-202-5155, 1800-258-5155(any working day).

The applications of the eligible sportspersons/ coaches/ entities for the awards must be submitted at the online portal dbtyas-sports.gov.in by 11.59 pm on 14th November, 2024 (Thursday).  Applications received after the last date will not be considered, it has reminded.
