BJP star campaigners John Barla, Sarbananda Sonowal and Yanthungo Patton, today could not attend a campaign rally for the party’s candidate for 38th Wokha A/C, Renponthung Ezung, at Wozhuro Ground at Wokha District.
Minister of State (MoS) for Minority Affairs Barla, Union Minister for Port, Shipping and Waterways & AYUSH Sonowal and Deputy Chief Minister Patton were supposed to be a part of the programme but due to problems in chopper landing process they had to head back without attending the programme but had assured to come back next time.
Despite the glitch, the rally took place and short speeches were presented some members of BJP parties.
Subenthung Kithan, President of BJP Wokha District, in his speech asserted that the alliance of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party will rule the next government with absolute majority. He also appealed the Wozhuro range to come together and support Renponthung Ezung this election.
The BJP candidate of 38th Wokha A/C in his speech assured his supporters from Wozhuro Range of good road conditions if voted to power.
Ezung later told the media persons that people in the remotest villages know that that Narendra Modi is bringing development.
