Nagaland bags 2 Gold, 1 Silver at 4th Sub-Junior National Taekwondo Championship

The Nagaland Taekwondo Association (NTA) put up a strong performance at the 4th Sub-Junior National Taekwondo Championship held at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Cuttack, Odisha, from August 28 to 30.

The team, led by coaches Visabiu Peseyie and Santsuthung Ngullie with T Alem Aier as team manager, competed in six weight categories in the Sub-Junior Boys Division and returned home with two Gold medals and one Silver medal.

The medal winners were Shiusuthong (Gold Medal) who defeated Maharashtra, Haryana, Telangana and Bihar (Final) under the 35 kg category, Sudeh Lamliu (Gold Medal) who defeated Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Uttarakhand (Final) under the 29 kg category, and Iciheing Ndang (Silver Medal) who defeated Punjab and Maharashtra, lost in the final to Uttar Pradesh under the 50 kg category
