Nagaland Civil Secretariat introduces uniforms for Grade-IV staff

Kohima: All 567 staff expected to wear uniform at work from Thursday onwards

In a first of its kind, uniform for Multi Tasking Staff/Peons of the Nagaland Civil Secretariat was introduced on Wednesday by Nagaland Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha at his chamber here at Secretariat, Kohima.

Speaking at the launching program, Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha said it was a long felt need to introduce such uniform for the MTS/Peons to be worn while coming for duty. He asserted that the uniform will not only inculcate better discipline, but also inculcate a sense of one’s duty and responsibility.

Sinha said, the uniforms will be given to the MTS/Peons of Nagaland Civil Secretariat free of cost and from Thursday onwards all 567 of them are expected to wear while coming for duty.

The uniforms were handed over to the Vice President of Nagaland Civil Secretariat Grade-IV Association Yangtsali Sangtam who also expressed his gratitude to the Home Department for coming up with such initiatives adding that, the uniform will give them an identity.
