Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio officially handed over the appointment letters to the 11 newly appointed chairpersons/advisors at the Chief Minister’s Office, Kohima on 31 March.
Of the 11 chairpersons/advisors, a lone woman, Wanpong Konyak has also been appointed as the chairwoman of Bio-Resource Mission, a DIPR report stated.
Rio presented the appointment letters to Advisor to Chief Minister – Dr. Chumben Murry; Advisor to Chief Minister and Chairman, IDAN – Abu Metha; Advisor to Chief Minister and Chairman, NKVIB – Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu; Chairman, DAN – Dr. Watizulu Jamir; Chairman, NHL – Thongwang Konyak; Chairman, NSMDC – Kuputo Shohe; Chairman, MARCOFED – Dr. M. Chuba Ao; Chairman, Honey Mission – Obed Quinker; Chairman, NEPED – Supongmeren Hoki and Chairman, TaFMA – Theja Meru.

The chief minister called upon the chairmen/advisors to work together as a team and sought their support and cooperation in all situations.
He said that it is a privilege to serve the people which comes with a lot of responsibilities and asked them to be mindful of their responsibility and be in the service of the people.
Speaking at the programme, Advisor Metha extended his appreciation to the chief minister for bestowing the responsibility and assignments to them.
He said that such opportunities come only to a few and informed that it motivated them to work hard. Metha added that Nagaland continues to march ahead under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio.
The programme was presided over by Principal Secretary, Abhijit Sinha.
