S. Supongmeren Jamir, the newly elected president of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) met with All India Congress Committee(AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge at the latter’s office in New Delhi.

Jamir was accompanied by his team in the meeting where they deliberated at length on the Congress’ activities in the state, the communications department of NPCC informed. The Congress President expressed his concern on the issues facing the state and assured full support to the team and the state.

Supongmeren thanked Kharge for the assignment and for putting AICC’s trust on him.

In his visit to New Delhi, Jamir also met with Runith D’Mellow, in-charge of Nagaland Minority department, AICC and discussed to strengthen the party in all districts of Nagaland.

Jamir replaced Kewekhape Therie as the NPCC president on 31 March 2023.
