The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) has informed in a press release on the successful completion of approximately 500 saplings planted across various cricket venues.
This Plantation Drive took place at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima Cricket Ground, and the site of its upcoming second cricket ground, highlighting the Association’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship.
Extending gratitute to the Forest Department for providing the saplings, the NCA stated, “Their support has been instrumental in not only greening our sports facilities but also in promoting ecological awareness within the community.”

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from NCA officials, district officials, players, and ground staff, who came together to contribute to a greener future. “This joint effort not only enriches the visual appeal of our cricket venue but also contributes to the reduction of carbon emissions and enhancement of local biodiversity.
