The Nagaland Gaon Bura Federation (NGBF) has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to honour his word given to the Federation on 3rd August 2017 and execute the Naga Agreement before the New Year.

Pointing out that it has been four years since PM Modi committed to the Federation, for a permanent, honourable and acceptable political solution to the Indo-Naga political problem, NGBF reminded that based on this assurance, the Naga groups under the umbrella of Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) and its Working Committee (WC) sat with Government of India for formal talks. As a result, the WC, NNPGs and GoI entered into the ‘Agreed Position’ that was supported by all Nagaland Tribes, Apex civil societies and the Churches.

NGBF said that now is the “right time of the year with festive spirit all around” to implement the negotiated points and push Nagaland among the frontline of the developed states of India by 2047.
