Nagaland Governor, CM and Advisor extend warm greetings on Home Guards & SDRF Raising Day

Governor of Nagaland, Chief Minister, and Advisor for Fire & Emergency Services today extended warm greetings to the personnel of the Home Guards, Civil Defence, and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) on the occasion of their Raising Day, celebrated across the country on December 6.

In his message, Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla conveyed his “warmest felicitations and good wishes” to all members of the Home Guards, Civil Defence & SDRF Organisation.

He said he deeply honours their unwavering commitment and selfless service, noting that the personnel have consistently proven their dedication through their swift response to natural calamities, participation in vital search and rescue operations, and their role in educating communities on disaster preparedness.

Expressing confidence in the organisation, the Governor said he believed they would continue to uphold their spirit of alertness and readiness whenever duty calls. He extended his best wishes to the Nagaland Home Guards, Civil Defence and SDRF personnel in all their future endeavours.

Rio praises discipline and dedication

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio also extended heartfelt greetings to the department personnel.

He stated that the Raising Day is a tribute to the commitment, discipline, and unwavering dedication of the force in safeguarding communities during disasters, emergencies, and hostile conditions.

Rio acknowledged the resilience, professionalism, and voluntary spirit the personnel have displayed over the years—qualities that inspire confidence among citizens.

Congratulating the officials and staff for their steadfast service and sacrifices, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that they would continue to uphold noble values with zeal and integrity.

Advisor Kiusumew salutes bravery and unity

Advisor for Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guard & Civil Defence, Relief & Rehabilitation, S. Kiusumew, also extended best wishes on the occasion.

He saluted the bravery, selflessness, and resilience of Home Guards, Civil Defence, and SDRF personnel, appreciating their unwavering commitment to safeguarding communities “during the toughest moments.”

Invoking the spirit of “Vayam Panchaad Parampara,” the Advisor emphasised unity, preparedness, and the collective strength that drives the organisation.

“Together we stand, we protect, and we thrive,” he affirmed.
