Nagaland Govt hikes sales tax on Petrol and Diesel

Kohima: New prices to come into effective from midnight of 30th June 2024

The Nagaland Government has revised the sales tax on Petrol and Diesel, a Notification issued by the Additional Chief Secretary & Finance Commissioner, Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS, has informed.

As per the Notification, the tax rate for Petrol and Other Motor Spirit has been hiked to 21.75 percent or 16.94 rupees per litre, whichever is higher from the previous to 25 percent or 16.04 rupees per litre, whichever is higher.

For Diesel, the tax rate has been increased to 17.20 percent or 12.83 rupees per litre, whichever is higher from the previous 16.5 per cent or Rs. 10.51 per litre, whichever is higher.

The new prices will come into effective from midnight of 30th June 2024.
