Talipokum Pongen from Creative Mythos, while delivering an introductory note on TaFMA and its events, mentioned that TaFMA, a Task Force for Music, Art, Dance, and the newly included “Fashion”, was initiated in 2019 under the Government of Nagaland. He stated that TaFMA’s primary goal is to identify and support talent from the grassroots level, providing opportunities to musicians and artists at both domestic and international levels. To achieve TaFMA’s objectives, the Open House 1.0 was activated in 2020 in every district, with monthly events organized by district partners.
Regarding the Nagaland Guitar Festival, he explained that Mokokchung, known for producing renowned musicians over the years, hosted the All Nagaland Guitar Festival in 2021. This year, the All Nagaland Guitar Festival is being organized by Creative Mythos in partnership with TaFMA, with the aim of identifying and promoting young musicians from all over the State.
