The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family of former Nagaland Minister, Kejong Chang and stated that in his passing, the state has lost one of her pioneering leaders whose contribution towards the establishment of the State are recorded in the annals of time and history.
In a condolence message, NDPP President Chingwang Konyak stated that having lived to be a Centenarian, late Chang’s contribution to the State from its nascent years will always be remembered.
The former Nagaland minister died in the early hours of 20 February 2025 at Dimapur.
Konyak highlighted the illustrious career of Late Chang and mentioned that he was known to have discharged his duties and responsibilities with dedication, loyalty, honesty and humility. The Party’s President said that Late Chang’s association with NDPP began in 2022 and that he served as the Treasurer of the 54th Tuensang Sadar – II NDPP assembly constituency till his demise.
In his passing, the NDPP has lost a father figure and a tall leader whose vast wisdom and experience will surely be missed, Konyak stated.
