The fourth edition of the Nagaland Hiphop Music festival is set to take place on August 24 at RCEMPA, Jotsoma. The event will kick off with dance battle and beat boxing competition at 1 PM, followed by the main concert starting at 6 PM.
Announcing this in a press conference held at Black Rose Café, Kohima, the organisers of the event Table 3 said the festival is being presented by the Black Rose Enterprise, powered by TaFMA and managed by Table-3.
LC Sekhose, CEO of Table 3 stated that the festival is a vital platform for showcasing the vibrant and growing hip-hop scene in Nagaland since its inception in 2019. After a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival returns this year with renewed vigor.
“This year’s event aims to celebrate tribal unity and cultural diversity through music,” said Sekhose adding that in connection with this objective, the artists who will be performing at the music festival are from different tribes representing various districts from across the state.
The festival will feature 13 talented artists, headlined by Khasi Bloodz from Meghalaya, winners of the MTV EMA award. Other performers include Tenacious, Savizo, Ning Dang Ri, ZT Slingshot, J. Polland, Renbeni, Coffee (NBC), The Knot (SJC), DJ LiL’ BomB, Nentong Konyak, Psycho K4, and Meyisanen Lemtur.
In addition to music performances, the festival will host the Nagaland Beatbox Championship in collaboration with the Nagaland Beatbox Community and a dance competition with Lamgrace Studio.
The Nagaland Beatbox Championship winner and runner up will walk away with a cash prize of Rs 15,000 and Rs. 10,000. The competition will feature top 16 participants from the ongoing auditions set to culminate on August 17, results for which will be announced on August 18.

The hip-hop dance competition organised by Lamgrace Studio, will feature solo, duo, and group auditions. Top 12 participants selected through online auditions, will compete on the day of the festival. Online auditions are ongoing and will close on August 8.
The organisers are also expecting participants from various states, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, and Chennai, to compete in the above mentioned competitions. Organizers are anticipating an audience of over 1000 attendees.
Tickets priced at Rs.300 will be available at Black Rose Café, D Café, Garden of Eaten, Kindred, Café Eva, and RCEMPA, with a ticket giveaway also planned, the organisers informed.
“There will be limited slots for stalls offering food, beverages, coffee, and merchandise,” informed the Organisers
The festival promises to be a significant cultural celebration, uniting music lovers from across the region.
