The 63rd Statehood Day of Nagaland was celebrated at Nagaland House, 29-Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Road, New Delhi on December 1. Joint Resident Commissioner (JRC), Nagaland House New Delhi, Sharon Longchari unfurled the National Flag to commemorate the special occasion. The celebration was attended by senior officers, staff of NH, New Delhi and guests.

Addressing the gathering Longchari said that the day is marked to reflect and appreciate on how far the State has come since its formation. Recounting how the state came to being, she stated that it has faced many challenges and though being a small state with a population of less than 2 million, the aspirations of the State is big, and added that it can be achieved with participation of all.
