Nagaland: Monang Konyak wins bronze in National Taekwondo Championship

Kohima: Seven players are representing Nagaland in the ongoing tournament led by Coach Anirudra and Team Manager, Limatula.

Making Nagaland proud, Monang Konyak won a bronze medal (under 41 kg) during the ongoing 5th National Cadet Kyorugi and Poomsae Taekwondo Championship, being held in Kota, Rajasthan from 28 to 31st March.

Seven players are representing Nagaland in the ongoing tournament led by Coach Anirudra and Team Manager, Limatula.

The players include, cadet boys’ team –Lensethong (under 37 kg), Manong (under 41 kg), Thingti (under 45 kg), Manhei Konyak (under 49 kg), Lhuvosayi Vasa (under 53 kg) and Lhongkan (under 57 kg), while the cadet girl is Kinayala Aier (under 49 kg).

Speaking exclusively to Nagaland Tribune, Coach Anirudra informed that the matches are jam-packed with only 10-20 minutes break between matches due to the high number of participating states and players.

He expressed satisfaction at the performances of the players till now.
