DC Kohima completes Ironman 70.3 Triathlon

Kohima: Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C, IAS has successfully finished the Ironman 70.3 triathlon in Goa on Sunday. The grueling race involves a 21.1 km run, 90 km cycling, and a 1.9 km swim, all to be completed within 8.5 hours.

Tsütuonuomia Khel Day on 25th Oct

Kohima: The Tsütuonuomia Khel Day is scheduled to be celebrated on 25th October 2023 at Mission Compound, Kohima at 1:00 pm, the Tsütuonuomia Khel Council, Kohima Village has informed

On the occasion, Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, MLA and Advisor, School Education & SCERT, Nagaland, will grace the event as Chief Guest and Dr Tseilhoutuo Rhutso, MLA, will be Guest of Honour.

The Special Invitees of Tsütuonuomia Khel Day will be our In-laws, TKC further mentioned. The Council has requested all members to be seated at the event by 12:40 pm.

Zunheboto DPDB meet for October 2023

Zunheboto: The DPDB held its monthly meeting on 10th October 2023 under the chairmanship of Advisor for Land resources and DPDB chairman G. Ikuto Zhimo at DC Conference Hall. During the agenda discussion, establishment of Sub-Divisional Office, Soil and water conservation office, Atoizu was discussed and basing on the report given by the concern department DSCO the house agreed to forward the proposal to be sent to higher authority for approval.The meeting also deliberated on review meeting of the different sub-committee for the upcoming district Golden jubilee and Ahuna celebration.

National Integration Tour – Kohima to Ahmedabad flagged in

Medziphema: The National Integration Tour Nagaland to Ahmedabad organised by the Assam Rifles for students of Modern College, Piphema was flagged-in during a function by chief guest, Major General Vikas Lakhera, Sena Medal, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North) on 9th October 2023 at Ghaspani, Nagaland. 18 students and 2 teachers were part of the NIP group.

Workshop on basic Office Procedures and Etiquettes held at Secretariat

Kohima: A one day workshop of secretariat office Peons/MTS on basic Office Procedures and Etiquettes held was organized by Secretariat Administration Branch ‘B’ Home department at the Secretariat Conference hall on 10th October 2023.

Addl. Secretary Home Shayung Phom NCS urged the trainees to perform their assigned duties diligently and insisted on maintaining good working relation with the officers so that the day to day functioning of the office will be carried out smoothly and effectively. He also lauded the home department officials for organizing the much needed workshop for the MTAs as it was long overdue and further hopes that the training will benefit the trainees to perform better.

The resource persons for the workshop were Under Secretary Rhonthungo Andreas, Additional State Protocol Officer and Joint Secretary Neikedoulie. The topics discussed during the training included conducts rules, leaves rules and office etiquettes etc. Certificates were handed out to all the participants of the workshop.

Water Resources Advisor stresses on early completion of ongoing SMI projects

Kohima: Tongpang Ozukum, Advisor, Water Resources Department, Government of Nagaland convened a departmental review meeting with all the Divisional Engineers led by Chief Engineer and other subordinate officers of the department on October 10 at the Chief Engineer’s office Kohima.

The Advisor stressed on the early completion of the ongoing SMI projects, particularly 270 and 213 batch projects which is going on for nearly ten years. The Advisor was assured by the department that 270 batch of SMI projects will be completed by December 2023.

The meeting was also attended by outgoing Commissioner & Secretary, Kevesa Kense.

Counselling for career in Japan imparted at LFI, Dimapur

Dimapur: Arms Incorporation Training Centre, an institution that deals with job placement at Tokyo and Japanese language provided career counselling at Livingstone Foundation International College on 6th October. The staff of Arms Incorporation encouraged the students of Semester V take advantage of the Japanese government’s lucrative offers to people from other nations so they may come over there for job purposes and settle there in order to boost this workforce.
