Nagaland police has issued a warning that a malicious android application package APK file named “PM Kisan Yojana” is being circulated in Nagaland.

In a press release, police informed that the APK file is being circulated at the district/block level through individuals and groups. It cautioned that once the file is clicked on and installed, the mobile phone user will not able to operate the mobile and the APK file automatically gets shared to all the contacts and groups of which the person/user hacked is a member. Police also said the popular instant messaging app, WhatsApp, automatically gets controlled by the malicious APK.

Alerting the public not to click on the APK file, the state police requested people not to download or share the file even if they receive it.
