The much-awaited Nagaland Police Constabulary recruitment rally, announced through the 2025 notification for 1,176 Constable (General Duty) posts, officially commenced today across the state, including in Wokha district.

The week-long recruitment drive running from January 7 to 13 will see tens of thousands of aspirants vying for the police constable positions, with the process being conducted simultaneously at district headquarters statewide.

At Wokha, candidates began reporting for Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Standard Test (MST) at the Local Ground, Wokha on the first day. These qualifying tests form the first phase of the selection process. Successful candidates in both PST and MST will progress to the Running Test and other physical trials, scheduled from January 10 to 13, as per the official schedule of dates, times and venues.

For the running segment: Male candidates will run from Zero Point, Vankhosung (NH-02) to below the DC Office, Wokha and Female candidates will run from Khorkha Stream (near Tourist Lodge, NH-02) to the same destination.

Only those who pass both the PST and MST are instructed to report for the subsequent Running Test, with reporting time set at 5:30 a.m. alongside their chest numbers and admit cards.

Superintendent of Police, T Relo Aye, has emphasized that candidates who clear the Running Test would then be directed to complete the Pull-up, High Jump and Long Jump tests at the Local Ground on the same day.

Earlier this week, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Yanthungo Patton reaffirmed that the recruitment process would be conducted in a transparent and merit-based manner, with no place for backdoor appointments, in line with assurances from Nagaland Police leadership ahead of the rally.
