The Nagaland Police Department on Friday informed the sanction of payments to nominees of 98 deceased personnel and employees of the department under the Nagaland Police Risk Insurance Scheme (NPRIS).

The notification from Director General of Police Nagaland, Rupin Sharma, IPS stated that payments totalling ₹1,16,65,407 had been cleared, some of which the department regretted had been pending for over 2 years.

The department assured that in the future, it will clear NPRIS dues within 48 Hours in death cases or on the last date of retirement for retirees.

Further, it requested its staff and their nominees to check whether the payments have been received.
