Nagaland police seized narcotic substances worth an estimated ₹15 crore in multiple drug busts during the past few days.
Deputy chief minister Yanthungo Patton, who is also in charge of Home and Border Affairs, credited the drug busts and seizures to the state police chief Rupin Sharma.
“In the Government of Nagaland’s campaign against drugs, the Nagaland Police, under the leadership of Director General of Police (DGP) Rupin Sharma, have achieved three major successes in recent operations. Narcotic substances worth an estimated ₹15 crore were seized in the past few days, and five individuals have been arrested in connection with these cases,” Patton stated in a press release.

He said these operations reflect the commitment and coordination of the police force in tackling drug-related offences. “The seizures and arrests send a clear message that such activities will not be tolerated in our society. Every action taken contributes to protecting our communities and supporting those working towards a drug-free Nagaland,” the Dy. CM maintained.
While lauding the efforts of the officers and personnel involved in these operations, Patton urged upon all to continue to support and encourage all steps taken towards the goal of a drug-free society and Nasha Mukt Bharat.
