Nagaland Police to introduce online submission for complaints on stolen vehicles and mobile phones

To improve efficiency, the Nagaland Police has  introduced a system of online submission of complaints with regard to Stolen Vehicles and Lost/Stolen mobiles phones.

“Prompt complaints shared online will ensure timely action to be taken as well as proper supervision of such cases and recovery of stolen or lost vehicles or mobile phones,” informed the Nagaland Police in a press release.

With such thefts committed largely because of its resale value, the Nagaland Police mentioned that cases of public buying stolen items have been encountered, on the grounds that they were not aware of such items being proceeds of crime. “In due course, a database will be created wherein the public can access and check online before buying second hand items which in itself will be a deterrent for theft,” informed the Press release.

The public has been requested to submit online complaints pertaining to Stolen Vehicles and Lost/Stolen Mobile Phones apart from the physical complaints given in Police Station, which will be required for claiming insurance. The link for the online submission is given below:
