The total value of all seizures made in Nagaland since the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct for the General Election 2023 has crossed ₹50 crore.

The Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland on Friday informed the various Enforcement Agencies including Nagaland Police, SST, FST and CAPF Officers had made seizures worth ₹1,08,87,880 on 23 February 2023 including ₹191200 in cash, liquor worth ₹475930, drugs/narcotics worth ₹1,00,47,500 and, Freebies and other items worth ₹173250.

Till 21 February, the monetary value of the Progressive Seizure was ₹48,77,34,159.

ECI had on 18 January announced that the General Election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly-2023 will be conducted on 27th February 2023 and the Model Code of Conduct was enforced on the same day.
