A campaign rally was held for BJP candidate for 56th Noklak Assembly Constituency, H. Haiying at Buchesouh Ground, Noklak Village on Wednesday.

The star campaigners at the event were Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs John Barla, National party spokesperson & in-charge BJP Nagaland Nalin Kohli, Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton and Kazheto Kinimi, BJP MLA who has won unopposed in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023.

John Barla, in his address stated that the outlook of common people is limited to ‘development’ and advised that they should have wider outlook.

Mentioning that the government has many things to do, he said they are the leaders of the community, adding that the right leader must be elected.

The Union Minister also said that the community needs to know and study the schemes that Narendra Modi’s government is providing for the people. For this, Barla urged people to check the NAMO app.

Nalin Kohli asserted that both BJP and NDPP are committed to the alliance and that there is no alliance with other parties.

He said that the reason PM Modi visited the Northeast over fifty times in the last eight years, was development and added that BJP has a developmental agenda for Nagaland. He informed that the BJP-NDPP Manifesto was released yesterday which is a vision and positive document for state.

Kohli also pointed BJP’s concern for women, girl child and farmers promising more financial assistance, while he also said that party will set up sports university in Nagaland. Stating that Nagaland has unique culture, heritage and languages, the spokesperson said that BJP has set ₹1000 Crore for its promotion, research and protection.

Further, Kohli stated that he looks forward to seeing the intending candidate, H. Haiying win the election and come to the Assembly as the representative of Noklak.

Deputy Chief Minister, Y. Patton asserted that BJP-NDPP alliance will win and form the government, while he also guaranteed 40 out of 60 seats. Stating that there is promotion even in politics, he urged the gathering to stand in support for H. Haiying for development because it is linked to the centre. Patton stated that India can be developed only if the Northeast is developed. He also urged the women community to stand in support along with men.

Advisor Kazheto Kinimi, while addressing the community, said that the reason for being an unopposed candidate in this election is because of the understanding of the area. He urged the public to support the ruling government BJP and receive developments through the intending candidate H.  Haiying.
