The office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland has informed that agencies seized cash and contrabands worth ₹40,04,698 on Tuesday alone in the poll bound state. This most recent haul has increased the total value of cash, narcotics, liquor and freebies seized by enforcement agencies since the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct to ₹31,03,03,137.
The press release mentioned that the illegal items confiscated by the central and state agencies on 7 February included ₹60,000 cash, liquor worth ₹4,21,076, drugs and narcotics (brown sugar/SP capsules/cough syrups) worth ₹15,51,273 and freebies and other items worth ₹20,32,349.

Two days ago, CEO’s office had reported that the monetary value of the progressive seizures as having reached ₹30,71,47,188. On 4th February, it was reported at ₹28,96,37,474/-.

The CEO’s office also informed on Wednesday that the total ₹31,03,03,137 include ₹1,62,03,850 cash, ₹4,22,15,501 worth Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL), ₹23,32,68,354 worth narcotics and freebies and other items valued at ₹1,86,15,432.
