A one-day Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop for school heads and headmasters was conducted at St Paul School, Phesama, Kohima on September 8 as part of the ongoing National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) pilot on multi-sector skill education. The event saw the participation of 26 school heads from pilot schools across Nagaland.
Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) chairperson, Rangumbuing Nsarangbe who graced the event as special guest underscored the critical importance of skill education in the state. He urged school heads to cultivate supportive learning environments within their schools to facilitate the effective delivery of skill-based courses that are aligned with the new NEP 2020 and NCF 2023.
He further highlighted that these pilot schools are poised to become pioneers in driving multi-sector skill education in the days to come.

The sessions were facilitated by the training team from Lend A Hand India, with participants engaging in interactive activities focused on the Healthcare and Fashion sectors.
The one-day workshop served as a prelude to a more extensive four-day workshop
planned for vocational trainers and teachers starting September 9 to 12.
The focus sectors for this training are Fashion, Healthcare and Coding. Upon the completion of the longer workshop, these educators will be equipped to implement the pilot program in
their respective schools.
The workshop is a key component of the LIC HFL special project and operationalizing skill education aligned with the NEP 2020 and the National Curricular Framework 2023 in Nagaland and supported by LIC HFL CSR, and organized by Lend A Hand India, in its capacity as the technical and knowledge partner of Samagra Shiksha Nagaland.
Lend A Hand India is a non-profit organization dedicated to making skill education an integral part of mainstream education. As the technical and knowledge partner for this initiative, it expressed its commitment to empowering youth with vocational skills for a better future.
