Nagaland is proudly participating in the ongoing Bharat Utsav – Festival of India, being held from July 5 to 13, 2025, at Manezhnaya Square, Moscow, Russia. The event is organized by the Indian Embassy in Moscow with support from the Moscow City Government, celebrating India’s rich cultural tapestry and its thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The Nagaland delegation is expected to include several high-ranking officials and dignitaries. Among those likely to attend are Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, Abu Metha, Advisor to the Chief Minister and Chairman of the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), and Hekani Jakhalu, MLA and Advisor for Industries & Commerce. Their presence is set to enhance Nagaland’s global engagements and international collaborations.
According to a DIPR report, the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Nagaland, is spearheading the State’s participation. Director, Industries & Commerce, P Tokugha Sema, along with his other senior officials, is part of the official delegation accompanying a group of selected entrepreneurs. Under the Department’s coordination, a dedicated Nagaland stall has been set up at the festival venue, showcasing a curated selection of local crafts, indigenous products, and enterprise-led innovations that reflect the dynamic and evolving entrepreneurial landscape of Nagaland.
Adding cultural vibrancy to the event, a cultural troupe from Nagaland, deputed by the Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), is presenting traditional folk music and dance. These cultural presentations have drawn widespread interest and appreciation from festival-goers and have added vibrancy to the State’s presence.
