With the term of the present Nagaland Legislative Assembly coming to an end on 12 March 2023, hectic preparations are underway by all stakeholders to conduct the elections.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has notified 7 February as the last date for filing nominations and 8 February as the date for scrutiny of nominations, a DIPR report informed.

The last date for withdrawal of nominations is 10 February and polling will be held on 27 February from 7am to 4pm.

Counting of votes will be done on 2 March and the election process shall be completed by 4 March, it stated.
