The Innovation Hub & SEC- Nagaland Science Centre, Department of Science & Technology has announced that the State Level Science Drama Competition 2023 will be conducted on 27th October under the theme “Science & Technology for the Benefit of Mankind”. The event will also select those who will represent the State in the North-East Zonal Science Drama Competition to be held in Guwahati.

It has also been informed that the Special Guest and Chief Judge of the competition will be Bendang Walling, Artistic Director, Hill Theatre. Walling, an alumnus of National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi, is a theatre practitioner and filmmaker.

The competition is open to school teams consisting of maximum eight stage actors from class 6-10, and one teacher as scriptwriter and one teacher as director. The scriptwriter and director can also be one person, the Innovation Hub & SEC- Nagaland Science Centre informed.

The prize pool is Rs 14,000. Further, the Department will sponsor the winner’s trip to Guwahati to represent Nagaland in the North-East Zonal Science Drama Competition.
