For the first time in the history of Nagaland, the state will have two deputy chief ministers and a woman cabinet minister.
An order passed by the Governor of Nagaland on March 7 appointed the Council of Ministers, headed by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio (NDPP), with TR Zeliang (NDPP) and Y Patton (BJP) as the deputy chief ministers.
Salhoutuonuo Kruse (NDPP), one of the first woman MLAs in the history of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, has also been appointed as a cabinet minister.
The list includes – G Kaito Aye (NDPP), Jacob Zhimomi (BJP), KG Kenye (NDPP), P Paiwang Konyak (BJP), Metsubo Jamir (NDPP), Temjen Imna Along (BJP), CL John (NDPP) and P Bashangmongba Chang (BJP), it stated.
The list has Kruse and Chang as first time ministers.
