The Department of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Nagaland has issued a notification to mark the milestone of 20 years of Earth Hour as requested by a powerful global movement, the WWF-India (World Wide Fund for Nature-India) to support its observance. The landmark Earth Hour will be held on Saturday, March 28 from 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. to create “The Biggest Hour for Earth”.
As responsible citizens, the department appealed to support for the planet and to raise awareness of the environmental issues affecting it by switching off all non – essential lights in all offices, workplace and Homes from 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. on March 29 and observe the earth hour.
