Nagaland University inks MoU with IIT Guwahati

Nagaland University signed an MoU with IIT Guwahati on May 27. The MoU was signed by Prof. Jagadish K. Patnaik, Vice-Chancellor, Nagaland University & Prof. Devendra Jalihal, Director, IIT Guwahati in the presence of faculty and officers from both the organisations. The MoU, signed at IIT Guwahati, envisages administrative and faculty support, internship and short-term training programmes, and guidance in infrastructure development, informed a press release by Nagaland University.

The MoU is noteworthy In the context of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 which places emphasis on fostering partnerships and improving the quality of higher education in India. It signifies a step towards promoting academic exchange, research collaborations, and sharing of resources between the two institutions.

Through such partnerships, NEP 2020 aims to enhance academic quality, promote interdisciplinary research, and facilitate the holistic development of students.
