The School of Agricultural Sciences, Nagaland University (SAS-NU) Medziphema Campus, in collaboration with Godrej Agrovet Ltd, organized an animal health camp and farmers–scientists interaction program at the Council Hall, Medziphema village on August 8. The event was facilitated by the Farmers Cell (FC) SAS-NU and aimed to improve livestock health, train local animal health workers, and strengthen the connection between farmers and the scientific community.

Altogether 32 farmers attended and shared their concerns directly with scientists, paving the way for practical, locally relevant solutions.

Participants received free medicines and expert training from veterinarian Dr. Ruusalie Nakhro, executive Nagaland in-charge, Godrej Agrovet Ltd.

The participants expressed satisfaction stating that such initiative bridges the gap between farmers and experts, ensuring healthier livestock and stronger rural livelihoods.
