Professor Sarat Chandra Yenisetti of Nagaland University has been taken into police custody following allegations of verbal abuse, physical assault, and misconduct. A case has been registered under Case No. 0003/24 at the Women Police Station, Zunheboto, which involves multiple charges and is currently under investigation.

The charges includee violations under sections 351(2), 352/74/131/118 BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita). Authorities have yet to disclose specific details about the nature of the alleged crime.

A reliable source confirmed that Professor Yenisetti was apprehended and taken into custody, and is currently being held at the Zunheboto Police Station.
