Nagaland University students visit STPI, Kohima

The School of Engineering and Technology, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Meriema organized a two days Industrial visit to Software Technology Parks of India, Kohima, Nagaland from October 7–8, 2025. On the first day, a total of 29 B.Tech final year students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Department of Information Technology visited the Institute.

On the second day, 32 B.Tech comprising pre-final year and final students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the Department of Information Technology and the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering visited the Institute. In both the visits, Abhishek Misra, Additional Director & OIC STPI Kohima interacted with the students and explained the various entrepreneurial opportunities available through STPI and encouraged the students to generate ideas and develop their ideas into products for solving various problems relating to society, education and other areas.

The students also gained hands-on experience using the various equipment available in the laboratories.

The students also Interacted with Meghna Priya, Consultant, who explained the various opportunities available for internships and jobs in different organizations. In his vote of thanks, Shanchamo Yanthan, In-Charge of Placement and Training, SET, expressed sincere gratitude to Abhishek Misra for graciously hosting the students and providing them with opportunity to explore and gain exposure to the various facilities. He also extended his thanks to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Kohima Campus and the Dean of NU-SET for facilitating such valuable learning experiences for the students.
